Softball, Sean's Dad, and other stuff

Well Em's team got eliminated by a tough team, physically, and unsportsmanlike (if that's a word).

They were (team) exhausted, it was muggy and they were wiped from the hard game they played the night before.

They received their trophies.

On the way home it hit Megan that Daddy wont be there for her trophy on Friday nite b/c Dad and Mom are going to Rhode Island to see if Mom won any awards for her photography. So we decided I'd go by myself.

Then we get the phone call Sean's dad isn't doing well, they've read last rights or something catholic like that, and that he might not make it through the nite. SO Sean went up there.

He's in active stages of dying.

So Sean took today off and just went up there to see him again. It wouldn't be so bad if his two sisters didn't treat Sean like a complete stranger not talking to him, not even civilly.

Em's team lost, but Em hit an infield Home Run!!!!!!!


Talk about being a proud mumma.

Em's First Game & Tooth

Well, she's got an ok team. We played against a team that certainly had height. I swear they were all 5th graders. And man 5th graders are tall these days considering my 4th grader is up to my nose. HELL-O.

So Meg comes running over to me across the field with blood pouring out of her mouth. At first i started to panic then i remembered the loose tooth she'd just asked me to pull and it still (so i thought) had a lot of meat attached. The other mom's panicked more than me. So i had her rinse and spit with Gatorade, it's all i had. But they all were so willing to lend in a hand if she was hurt.

So unfortunately the tooth was lost in the sand. But Em won and the tooth fairy or the mom fairy did come.
