Memorial Day Weekend

This past weekend we had our friends down from Vermont. They are the couple that we stayed with last November when we went for the LAN party. Another friend of ours from the game from RI came down too.

It was so great to see Tony & Michelle again. The kids were really excited they were coming but when they showed up Friday nite were quiet and shy. they warmed up by Sunday. (The kids spent Saturday nite at my parents house.)

Carlos came down on Saturday. It was awesome to meet him. He's a great guy, funny, witty and we didn't (meaning Sean and i) scare him off....well not too bad. It was really great to put a face to the voice. Of course he's nothing like i expected. As well as he had a different image of Sean. It's just funny how a voice puts a picture in your head. We all had some fun, some food, some drinks got to know each other more. Knowing he's not that far away, i really hope we can get together more often, i mean being so close and all.

We had some drinks (exception of Tony) and played Egyptian Rat Screw. It's a card game very similar to slap jack. We played it in Vermont and of course Sean and i stank at it but did pretty good.

Monday after Tony & Michelle left, we went to my parents. My brother is here for the week with my sister in law and nephew. I haven't seen my brother in like 2 years. It was like looking in a mirror. We are starting to look like each other more and more as we get older. It's sort of weird. Both of us having a lot of gray and stuff.

It was a good weekend. Great weather, just a great time in all. I know there was other stuff going on personally with some, but despite that i am glad we all could relax, chill and just enjoy each other's company.

I didnt get many pics of my family. i left the camera in the car but here are a few of Michelle and Tony and Carlos. THANK GOD i dont have any pics of me..... Still i apologize for the way the pics come out on here. I havent figured how to post a pic, post a blurb, post a pic post a blurb.

Easter Bunny

Well as the girls and i colored Easter eggs today, Em says, "Mom, who's the Easter bunny?" I looked at her. She said, "well you told me you'd tell me the truth if i asked you." "I did say that." i said to her.

Meg pipes up tell us the truth MOM!

Ok i said well me and daddy are the Easter bunny. So Meg says "WOW, you must not get ANY SLEEP because your up all nite hiding the eggs." (mind you we hide 2 dozen) I said ya we don't. Then Meg says, "Mom i still believe in the tooth fairy, even though you must be rich b/c you put the money under my pillow, but i still believe in her."

Meg said, "but ok who's Santa? are you and dad Santa too? Because if you are you have a lot of presents to wrap."

Em says, "there is no doubt mom there IS a Santa, because WE HAVE THE BELLS from his sleigh and well there just isn't any questioning that. and Meg, not all the presents are from Santa, Mom and Dad and Nana and Pa give us some too ya know."

{my dad took bells and old rawhide and threw on the lawn last Christmas}

Meg says, "Em what do you think happens with the carrots? I bet i know, they take the carrots and bite off the tops and throw the rest away or feed them to Petey." Em says, "Meg why would mom and dad go up on the roof JUST TO BITE OFF CARROTS!"

I THEN CHANGED THE SUBJECT!
